A website that machines
can actually read
Half your visitors have no eyes. An agent-ready website is built so an AI agent extracts in one pass what you do, what it costs and how to proceed — without the design or the persuasion for humans suffering for it.
From €2,450 excl. VAT · fixed price · live in 3 to 5 weeks
An agent-ready website is a website equally interpretable by software and by people: facts exist as structured data, content is explicitly worded, the HTML is semantically clean, pages render without JavaScript, and there is a deliberate path for AI crawlers and agents.
The problem with beautiful websites
For ten years websites have been optimised for the human eye. Prices sit inside an elegantly designed image. Opening hours live in a carousel that loads after three seconds of JavaScript. What you actually do is spread across four pages under headlines like “We take care of everything”.
For a human that works. For an agent it is unreadable. The agent fetches the page, sees little text and no factual data, and moves on to the next business. You lose the job without ever knowing you were in the running.
What makes a site agent-ready
Six layers I build as standard — even when you thought you were buying a normal marketing site.
Structured data
Full schema.org coverage: organisation, people, services, prices, locations, opening hours, FAQs, articles. Facts become data instead of prose.
llms.txt and crawler policy
An llms.txt telling language models in plain language what your business is and which pages matter. Plus a deliberate robots.txt policy: which AI crawlers you allow, and why.
Semantic HTML
One clear H1, a logical heading hierarchy, real lists and tables, meaningful link text. No div soup, no text inside images, no prices locked in PDFs.
Renders without JavaScript
Content lives in the HTML the server delivers. Many crawlers execute no scripts; whatever appears only after loading does not exist for them. It is also simply faster.
Explicit wording
Every important page literally answers the question someone would ask, with concrete figures, scope and exceptions. Persuasive is fine, but never at the cost of clarity.
A path for agents
Where it makes sense: a machine-readable endpoint where an agent can check availability or submit a request — via MCP or a documented API.
Retrofit or rebuild?
Retrofit (from €1,450)
If your site is technically sound, fast enough and on a decent platform, making it agent-ready is largely a matter of adding structure: structured data, rewritten core pages, llms.txt, crawler policy and pulling text out of images. Cheapest route, usually fastest too.
Rebuild (from €2,450)
If your site runs on something slow, dated or locked down, or a new design was on the cards anyway, we rebuild with the agent layer baked in from day one rather than bolted on afterwards. Fixed price, typically three to five weeks from briefing to live.
Which of the two applies is usually clear to me within half an hour of looking at your current site. That conversation costs nothing.
What is included
- Design and build, mobile first, at a fixed price
- Full schema.org coverage and
llms.txt - Rewriting core pages into explicit, quotable text
- Classic SEO groundwork: speed, headings, meta data, sitemap, Search Console
- Baseline measurement in the major AI assistants before and after launch
- Aftercare and availability after handover
To get more out of it, combine this with an AEO engagement — the website is the foundation, but your entity also lives outside your own domain.
Frequently asked questions
What is an agent-ready website?
An agent-ready website is one that is as readable to AI agents as to humans. Concretely: facts such as prices, hours and services exist as structured data (schema.org), the text is explicit and quotable, the HTML is semantically clean, content renders without JavaScript, and there is a deliberate AI crawler policy plus, where useful, a machine path for agents.
What does an agent-ready website cost?
Retrofitting an existing site starts from €1,450 excluding VAT. A completely new agent-ready website starts from €2,450 excluding VAT, as a fixed price confirmed upfront. The final price depends on page count, number of languages and whether integrations with existing systems are needed.
Do I have to throw away my current website?
Usually not. If the foundation is technically sound, your existing site can be made agent-ready without a rebuild. Rebuilding only makes sense when the platform is slow or dated, or when you wanted a new design anyway. I will tell you honestly which is cheaper, even when that is the smaller job.
Does this compromise the design?
No. Structured data lives in the code, not on the screen. The only visible changes are textual: prices and facts moving out of images into real text, and wording getting sharper. In practice that improves conversion with humans too, because vague copy convinces nobody.
Does this work on WordPress, Shopify or custom systems?
Yes. I work most with WordPress and custom PHP, but the principles are platform-independent. On closed platforms like Shopify there is more limitation on what you can change in the HTML; what you can do is almost always enough to capture most of the gain.
Curious what your current site is missing?
Send me your URL. I will check how an AI agent reads it and send back what it does and does not understand. Free, within 48 hours.
